Inspect the effective connection permissions for a workspace and apply overrides that new chats in that workspace inherit.

#From personal defaults to new chats

Access shows the permissions inherited by new chats and any workspace-level changes.

    Personal default

    Personal Connections defines the agent’s normal access for a new workspace.

  2. 02

    Workspace inheritance

    A new workspace starts with those available connections and permissions.

  3. 03

    Workspace override

    Access in workspace settings can change the effective permissions for this workspace.

    Chat inheritance

    New chats created in the workspace inherit its current permissions, including workspace overrides.

#Change a workspace override

A workspace-level tool setting overrides the personal default only inside that workspace.

    Open Access

    Open workspace settings and choose Access.

  2. 02

    Select the connection

    Find the connection whose effective access needs to change.

  3. 03

    Set the tool access

    Choose Deny, Ask, or Allow for the tool.

  4. 04

    Verify in a new chat

    Start a new chat in this workspace and make a small request that proves the intended access.

#What an override does not change

A workspace override does not edit the personal default used by other new workspaces. Return to Personal Connections when the agent’s general starting behavior should change.
