Workspace Access
Inspect the effective connection permissions for a workspace and apply overrides that new chats in that workspace inherit.
#From personal defaults to new chats
- 01
Personal default
Personal Connections defines the agent’s normal access for a new workspace.
- 02
Workspace inheritance
A new workspace starts with those available connections and permissions.
- 03
Workspace override
Access in workspace settings can change the effective permissions for this workspace.
- 04
Chat inheritance
New chats created in the workspace inherit its current permissions, including workspace overrides.
#Change a workspace override
- 01
Open Access
Open workspace settings and choose Access.
- 02
Select the connection
Find the connection whose effective access needs to change.
- 03
Set the tool access
Choose Deny, Ask, or Allow for the tool.
- 04
Verify in a new chat
Start a new chat in this workspace and make a small request that proves the intended access.
#What an override does not change
A workspace override does not edit the personal default used by other new workspaces. Return to Personal Connections when the agent’s general starting behavior should change.
