Troubleshooting
Diagnose workspace, permission, connection, skill, artifact, app, Workflow Script, and Scheduled Task problems from visible evidence.
#Check the right layer
| Symptom | Check first |
|---|---|
| Connection is missing | Group resource access, Personal Connections, and workspace inheritance. |
| Tool asks or is denied | Connection tool permission and the effective workspace override. |
| Skill is missing | Shared collection access, Personalization availability, and workspace Skills. |
| Scheduled Task fails | Explicit skill, connection, permission, schedule, and run history. |
| MCP App control fails | Viewer sign-in, connection access, tool permission, and app error state. |
| Workflow Run appears stuck | Workflow Run state, waiting step, required input, and current activity. |
#Configured is not the same as confirmed
A saved setting shows what should happen. Confirmed from results means a representative request, app action, Workflow Run, artifact view, or Scheduled Task actually produced the intended outcome. Keep both facts separate while diagnosing.
#Preserve useful context
Correct the original workspace when the agent needs the existing conversation, files, or tool results. Start a new chat in the same workspace when you need it to inherit updated workspace permissions. Create an entirely new workspace only when the context and permission baseline should also start fresh.
