#Use or improve a Skill in the Workspace

  1. 01

    Open the Skill

Read its purpose and visible instructions before asking the agent to use or change it.

  2. 02

Give the agent a concrete task

Name the Skill and the result you need so the agent can apply it to the current workspace context.

  3. 03

    Ask for a focused improvement

When the method needs work, describe the problem and ask the agent to show the proposed Skill change.

  4. 04

Review the result and the change

Confirm both the completed work and the updated instructions or source before submitting a shared change.

#Include a Workflow Script when instructions are not enough

A Skill can contain instructions, examples, reference material, and a Workflow Script. Use the documentation to explain when the process applies, the inputs and expected result, and the judgment the agent still needs to provide. Use the Workflow Script for the known steps that should run consistently.

Because the documentation and source remain available together, the agent can inspect both when a run fails. Ask it to identify the failed step, compare the behavior with the Skill, repair the source, and prove the change with a new Workflow Run.

#Example: update a shared skill from a workspace

Suppose the renewal-account-brief skill needs a clearer renewal confidence rule. Ask the agent to open that skill, add a concise definition backed by visible evidence, and show the proposed change before publishing.

#After approval

New workspace use should follow the approved version. Verify a representative request after approval so the intended behavior is confirmed from results, not only from the request status.
