Work an Item

Review an item's properties, instructions, comments, assignment, resources, status transitions, and complete history.

Select an item row to open it. By default, the queue keeps the grid visible and opens the item in a side panel.

The preview header provides:

  • Collapse and Close Preview controls;
  • previous and next navigation through the current filtered item list;
  • Auto advance, which can save and move to the next item after a quick transition;
  • the item's position in the current list.

Select Expand to hide the grid and give the current item the full working area.

The expanded view keeps the current item's properties, instructions, comments, history, agents, and details together. Select the chevron at the upper left to return to the grid and preview. You can also turn Open In Side Panel off from the queue's more actions menu when each row should open as a dedicated item page.

Properties

The main form follows the layout and property permissions of the current status:

  • Write properties are editable.
  • Read properties are visible but protected.
  • Hide properties do not appear in that status.
  • Markdown properties can switch between rendered and raw views.
  • Resource-reference properties open the linked BotDojo resource.

Select Save after changing item data. A status transition may also show validation properties and save them as part of the move.

Current status and instructions

The item shows its current status and the human or agent instructions configured for that status. Treat these instructions as the definition of done for the stage.

Use an available transition button to move the item. The confirmation dialog can:

  • collect a transition note;
  • require missing properties;
  • show fields that should be reviewed;
  • apply the target status's default assignment.

Only configured transitions are offered. Complete statuses remain visible in history and appear in the queue's Completed view.

Comments

Use Add a note... to preserve decisions, handoff context, and short operational updates. Notes can include supported attachments. Comments are part of the audit trail; do not use them for credentials or unnecessary sensitive content.

Assignment and agents

An item can be assigned to:

  • a Human user;
  • an account Group;
  • a registered queue Agent.

Assignment changes can include a message. Agent assignments also track the agent session and related Flow Request so the work can be inspected later. The Agents section shows current and previous agent sessions associated with the item.

History

History combines status transitions and notes into one timeline grouped by status. It records:

  • the previous and next status;
  • assignment changes;
  • data updates;
  • snooze changes;
  • notes and transition messages;
  • the human or agent that made the change;
  • linked Flow Requests or sessions when available.

Use history to answer what changed, who changed it, and how long the item spent in each stage.

Details and linked resources

Details shows the queue, created and modified times, and current viewers. Resource properties and agent sessions can open documents, Flow Requests, threads, workflow runs, or other linked BotDojo resources in an appropriate detail view.
